Ian is a strategic business and finance executive with more than 16 years of diverse experience developing solutions and driving results for global companies. His abilities include Fortune 200 companies, such as General Motors, Exxon-Mobil and Eaton, establishing finance infrastructure, internal controls, and metrics to improve financial and operating performance.

He has a demonstrated track record developing/executing turnaround strategies, spearheading cost reduction initiatives and improving profitability. Ian has a empowering leadership style that fosters people development and builds consensus among business partners. Selected noteworthy accomplishments:

  • Private Equity Fund Launch: PanAfrican Investments Company is a New York City based private investment firm focused on identifying, investing in and developing early stage and growth capital stage companies providing technological solutions that effect growth and development in Africa.

  • International Finance and Strategic Planning: Created effective corporate finance strategies for $1B+ revenue operations in Asia Pacific and Central America including turnarounds,ownership structure, repatriation strategies and corporate governance

  • Acquisition Integration and Restructuring: Restructured 8 manufacturing operations in the US that utilized $152M in Net Operating Losses and reduced the Company’s tax liability. Realized $6M in cost savings by leveraging post-acquisition economies of scale via newly created shared service center.

  • Global Capital Markets: Secured long-term financing for $1.7B acquisition via capital markets while managing rating agency and banking relationships.

  • Strategic Partner: Led cross-functional team to revamp Company’s business terms and conditions addressing payment terms, quality control, and customer service to drive working capital improvements.

Ian has an MBA from Duke University, Fuqua School of Business. He also holds Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Kansas University. He currently resides in Harlem, New York.
